2017-2018 Mini-Grant Applications

 
Application Deadline:  November 10, 2017 
 
The BASD Education Foundation is proud to announce that they will be accepting Mini-Grant Applications from teachers and students in Grades 11 and 12 from September 12 through November 10.
 
Mini Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded for projects that enhance and/or benefit the school district or community. 
Teacher Mini-Grants
 
One of the Foundation's purposes is to demonstrate community support for the Beaver Area public schools.  We believe that one of the best ways to do this is to encourage and support the creativity of teachers.
 
This program is open to every teacher in the Beaver School District in Grades K through 12.  It is permissible for two or more teachers to team up on a single project.

Student Mini-Grants
Juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply for Mini-Grants to fund a creative project.  A student or group of up to three students may apply.  Students must have a teacher from the District as their project sponsor.
 
When the projects are completed, Trustees will review them and award college scholarship money to the most outstanding mini-grant projects.  Scholarship awards will be based upon the following criteria:  Planning, Execution, Creativity of Presentation, Value of Benefit to the School/Community, Outcome, and Student Learning.  In the event a group project is chosen for a scholarship, the students will share equally in the monetary award.  These scholarships are announced at the Awards Night of the student's senior year.
