Reading with a Chance of Pizza

Reading with a Chance of Pizza

For the fourth straight year, students throughout Dutch Ridge Elementary School are participating in the Pizza Joe’s Reading Incentive Program.  Students recently received their reading logs, and once they have read four (4) chapter books, they are to return their completed logs to their homeroom teachers.  If they complete and hand in their logs, they will earn a certificate for a free four-cut pizza from Pizza Joe’s.

Students will have the opportunity to earn up to four (4) certificates during the school year.  Only one reading log per student will be accepted for each grading period, and students will receive a new log each nine weeks.  Reading logs are colored specifically for each grading period, so they will not be accepted after the conclusion of that grading period.

The books that students read should be appropriate to their interests and reading levels.  If uncertain about the appropriateness of a book’s reading level or if you have any additional questions, please contact Mrs. Larson at [email protected].
