About Our Academics
During the past 20 years, our world has been transformed by two significant movements:
  • Globalization
  • Infusion of Technology into everyday life and work
In the education environment, this transformation has caused a paradigm shift from mass education to personalized learning.  In response t this shift, the Beaver Area School District is preparing our students for today and tomorrow through the infusion of rigorous 21st Century learning Skills.  The 21st Century demands that our students become digitally literate in order to access the best resources available in the digital environment for mastery of these critical skills.  Our path to personalized learning includes:
Project Based Learning that combines rigor and relevance components.
Revamping of technology continuum that promotes the integration of technology in all curriculum areas.
Flexible learning environments, including fully online and blended courses created and instructed by our faculty, that permit the personalization of learning for our students.
Additionally, the District has initiated a personalized learning project.  iPads are distributed to every student in grades 7-12.  We believe this personalized learning project has connected our students to a wealth of digital educational resources and provide our teachers with the capacity to individualize education for every student.
