Suspension of In-Person Instruction for the High School and Dutch Ridge
This is a message from the Beaver Area School District.  There are currently 60 students and 7 staff that are COVID19 positive in the district.

The High School and Dutch Ridge Elementary have seen a previously unimaginable number of COVID19 positive students over the 14-days that we have been in school.  The number of COVID19 positive students and staff in these two buildings over the past 14-days has now exceeded the threshold at which closure is recommended by the PA Department of Health.  For this reason, ONLY the High School (grades 9-12) and Dutch Ridge (grades 3-6) will suspend in-person instruction next week.  High School and Dutch Ridge students will engage in virtual instruction beginning Monday, September 13 - Friday, September 17, 2021.  High School and Dutch Ridge students will resume in-person instruction on Monday, September 20, 2021.

Additionally, High School students will NOT report to the CTC.

To be clear, there is no change in the instructional model for Middle School (grades 7-8) and College Square (grades K-2).  These students will report for in-person instruction.

Finally, please help us to resume in-person instruction for the remainder of the school year by monitoring your child’s symptoms, communicating health concerns to the school nurses, and keeping kids home with they have even one symptom of illness.  Working together we can maximize educational opportunities while mitigating the spread of COVID19.
