There is NO credible threat at the Beaver Area Middle / High School.
Some concerns were raised over a social media post by a former student who now lives out of state. The threat could be construed as a threat to himself or to others. Out of an abundance of caution, the local police (both Beaver and Brighton Township) were contacted, as well as police and school officials in the state where the student now resides.
The former student is being cared for and looked after in his new hometown and poses no threat to students at Beaver Area School District.
We are pleased that when our students heard and saw something that caused them concern for their safety, that they told people that they trusted.
Again, there is NO threat.
