On Tuesday, December 1st, the Beaver Area School Board voted to extend virtual learning until the community spread of COVID-19 falls to moderate levels for two full, consecutive weeks. Therefore, all students will continue to receive full virtual instruction until further notice.
For these virtual days, the District will be following a normal daily schedule with regards to start and end times. This means that Beaver Area Middle School will be delivering live instruction from 7:40 a.m. - 2:25 p.m. The specific schedule that BAMS will follow is highlighted below.
At the time of each class, middle school students should access the Schoology page for that specific course for further directions regarding the expectations for the day and how to access live instruction. Likewise, students should be logging into a Google Meet to receive live instruction at the time each class is scheduled. If students do not attend their classes at the time they are scheduled each day, they will be marked absent for that class on that day.
For this time that we are virtual, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays will be treated as synchronous school days with live instruction taking place via a Google Meet.
Wednesdays, however, will continue to function in the same asynchronous manner that they have been for BAMS. Students are reminded that they have until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday evening to complete any work assigned for their classes on Wednesdays to count for attendance purposes. If the work is not completed by that time, students will be declared absent for the class that day.
For middle school students who participate in Enrichment:
During your Enrichment period, students should be reaching out to their teachers if they needed added instructional support. Additionally, teachers may request to meet with learners that are identified as being in need of assistance during this Enrichment block.
