The Beaver Area School Board (hereinafter referred to as the District) shall determine and adopt lawful policies and programs that are deemed necessary for the efficient operation and general improvement of the school district. Federal, state legislative and judicial bodies continue to adopt and revise statutes and issue legal decisions affecting school districts. In order to contribute to an orderly and efficient operation of the school district, it is necessary for the Board to keep its policies updated accordingly.
The intent of all policy is to present clear and concise directives to the staff, and to serve as a public communication tool with specific attention to students, parents and/or guardians.
Policy Manual Update Notice
Beaver Area School District has transitioned to the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) platform for the publication of School Board policies.
Please note that newly adopted or revised policies may not appear immediately in the online policy manual. Following Board approval, policies are submitted to PSBA for final processing, including the addition and verification of legal citations and other required updates, before they are published for public viewing.
Policies approved by the Board are effective in accordance with the action taken by the Board, even if the updated version has not yet been posted to the online policy manual.
