BASD Transportation Information

Transportation Information and Arrangements

Frye Transportation will notify parents directly with the bus information for their child(ren).

A detailed bus list with children's names are available in each school office for confirmation as needed.  Be sure to inform the school secretary if you have moved since the last school year.

Students in K-2
Kindergarten, first grade, second grade students are notified of their assigned bus at registration or by direct mail.  Parents are asked to escort students to and from the bus stops during the first two weeks or until the students learn the routine. Students will be provided with a tag with their transportation arrangements for their backpack.

Special note for elementary families -- your child's safety is our priority.  It will take a few days for students to become confident with our bus dismissal procedures.  During the first few days of school our bus dismissal takes longer because we are checking the bus lists and ensuring that students are on the correct bus.  Please anticipate a 15 - 20 minute delay in the arrival of your children at home during the first week of school.

All students are expected to be at the bus stop five minutes in advance of the assigned time.  BASD cannot provide irregular service to multiple locations.  Irregular service dramatically increases the possibility of errors.  We will attempt to satisfy requests for pick up or drop off of your children at different locations if the locations are consistent:  that is, always one location for pick up and always one location for drop off.  Please help by limiting changes and eliminating requests for a friend to ride.

Private schools and special education students should check with their school or Frye Transportation for their routes.  If you need assistance, please call Frye Transportation at 724-371-0023.
