Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The portal is a confidential reporting mechanism to help prevent violence and tragedies. The purpose is to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late. Please know, it is our preference that students and families report information to a trusted adult in the Beaver Area School District in order to gather the details necessary to complete a comprehensive investigation, but school leadership receives alerts for S2S reports.
How It Works:
An individual submits an anonymous tip report through the Safe2SaySomething system. This can be done through the Safe2Say Something app or by calling/texting (844) SAF2SAY (1-844-723-2729).
The crisis center reviews, assesses, and processes all submissions.
The crisis center sends all submissions to school administration and/or law enforcement for intervention.
If needed, the crisis center may contact the tipster anonymously through the app.
