Director of Business Services
(Employment Status: Full-time - Contract Position)
Beaver Area School District is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Business Services. This position is responsible for directing, supervising, and managing all financial operations and business services of the District. Areas of oversight include budget development and administration, general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting, transportation, and food service.
The Director also performs long- and short-range financial planning, manages special projects, and coordinates bond and mill levy elections. This role serves as a key advisor to the Superintendent and a collaborative member of the administrative leadership team, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations while promoting fiscally responsible practices that support the mission and goals of the District.
Qualifications/Certifications
For consideration, applicants must possess the following qualifications/certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in school finance or accounting, with proven leadership in budgeting, payroll, and fiscal planning
- Deep knowledge of Pennsylvania school finance laws, reporting requirements, and audit standards
- Skills in financial forecasting, strategic planning, and internal control development
