On April 25, 2018, the Beaver Area administrative team and other key personnel held a school safety presentation for interested community members. The components of the District’s Comprehensive Multi-Hazard Emergency Operations Plan were shared, as were the key findings of a meta-study jointly conducted by the US Secret Service and the US Department of Education related to instances of school violence. Next, each building level principal or assistant principal spoke about their school’s safety nets, preparedness, and school security. The final three presenters were the district’s contracted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), the district-wide School Resource Officer (SRO), and the Athletic Director (AD). Each shared information relevant to their area of expertise.
