On Monday, March 19, 2018, the Beaver
Board of School Directors voted to create a Citizens Advisory Committee on
School Security. The formation of this committee will be completed in
accordance with Board Policy 905. The chair of this committee will be a
BASD administrator, and two School Board Directors have been appointed to serve
as liaisons. Other committee members will be teachers from each district
building, a secretary, and student representatives.
At this time, we want to determine which
parents/guardians would like to be a part of the Citizens Advisory Committee on
School Security. For that reason, we have developed a short application
that will collect some basic contact & demographic information. Each
of the questions on the application will help us to ensure that we have
representation from all areas of our district.
We will be accepting applications for
this committee through March 27th. The names of confirmed committee
members will be posted on our website and will be announced at the April 16,
2018 board meeting at 7:00 PM in the MS/HS Library.
